American Idol Tour Goes Bust

The American Idol tour, which takes karaoke contestants from the show on a series of concerts, is imploding, as ticket sales have been very poor, forcing the cancellation of several dates.

The show's ratings have plummeted as well, with accompanying record sales in the toilet. The phony show, produced and promoted by, Simon Fuller and Simon Cowell, has hit the skids. Reach for the stars (sarcasm).

Post a Comment July 7, 2010 - LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The "American Idol" U.S. tour was cut short by two weeks on Wednesday, less than a week after it kicked off, joining artists ranging from the Jonas Brothers to the Eagles who have pulled out of summer dates.

Eight scheduled shows by the Top 10 "Idol" finalists, including winner Lee DeWyze and runner-up Crystal Bowersox , were dropped and others dates re-scheduled, according to concert promoters Live Nation.

The tour, which started on July 1, will now end on August 31 instead of September 16. "American Idol" publicists declined to comment on the reasons.

The move follows what was considered a lackluster season of the Fox television singing contest, which lost about nine percent of its audience this year. So far only DeWyze and Bowersox have signed record deals...

I told her she was going to bust her butt. 3 days later, Keys did just that, falling on her butt, while performing at the Essence Music Festival on Sunday, July 4, 2010.

At this stage in her pregnancy, she needs to take time off. She can afford to, unlike many working moms. She is endangering the life of her baby leaping around on stage in this manner. It is not worth your child's life or yours.

You also risk injury to the child via an unexpected fall. You need to go home, put your feet up and rest. Leave the airplanes, airports, hotels, sound checks and concert stages alone. Your child takes precedence over the stage.

Another thing Alicia needs to do - ask Jesus for forgiveness for committing adultery and breaking up a marriage in the process. Swizz Beatz belonged to his former wife, Mashonda, not you. You will face trouble due to it in this life. God will punish you for it, but for your soul's sake, ask for forgiveness and He will forgive you.

Fake singer, Rihanna, was spotted looking like a gloomy gus, accompanied by boyfriend, Los Angeles Dodger, Matt Kemp, while stomping around town. She continues to miss abusive ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, who she got into a fight with, resulting in charges against him and the decline of their careers.

Her career is also on a massive downward spiral with failed sales in the music department and a world tour that has been anything but, as it has flopped, only selling 1/5th of the tickets.

Writers and bloggers are now claiming she has proven a distraction to Kemp and it is tanking his career as a baseball player as well. Dodger crowds are not happy.

Convicted woman beating Sony Music R&B crooner, Chris Brown, just had cold water thrown on his tour by the British government, as they denied him entry into the U.K. for a series of concerts, whose tickets have already been sold.

After Brown's legal troubles, regarding beating girlfriend and fellow singer, Rihanna, for attacking him in a rented Lamborghini, culminated into his arrest and guilty plea, he became ineligible to visit many countries that bar people with criminal records, as a precaution to their own citizens and residents.

Brown expected to flout this international rule, by placing tickets on sale, hoping it would force world governments' hands on the issue, but it failed. As a result, the concert promoter and insurance company are out large sums of money on a gamble gone wrong.
